additional closet hangers, extra roll of toilet paper. Management would NOT move the noisy customers who did not know who to behave in a public hotel/residence (3) the staff were generally pleasant (but unhelpful per The Above problems) (4) this Residence quality is mediocre re: (a) all our requests were fulfilled eg. Our experience: (1) upon check-in, the toilet was broken (needed a new “flush bar” in the tank, & the main kitchen lightbulb was burnt-out (in what was already a dark room) - thus, immediately, despite our planning, housekeeping repairs were absolutely necessary (2) by our 3rd night, VERY LOUD customers moved-in above our room there was 3 hours of “jumping” & “running” noise it sounded like a bowling alley until 10:30 pm - when brought to the attention of management, they suggested that we “change rooms” (during the pandemic which we had tried to prepare for!). We paid for our room to “sit empty” for a full day before our check-in, & pre-declined housekeeping service during this pandemic. We chose this Marriott Residence based on location (proximity), the Residence kitchenette, & the Marriott reputation. Do not stay here!!!!!…ĭuring the COVID-19 pandemic, after self-quarantining for 2 weeks, we drove 1200 miles to visit immunocompromised family members in the Philadelphia suburbs. They are truly below the Marriott standard. The increased rate wasn't that much more but the demand to know why we were in the area was inappropriate, because it wasn't a friendly tone, it was a "gotcha" type approach. This is the final visit to this place over the last few years of visiting Berwyn, we chose this hotel, this most recent visit is our last. This hotel does not allow for upgraded rooms at least this Karen wasn't having it. This is the first time that I have felt that i was being shook down for more money after a reservation and payment had already been finalized. We eventually catch on that she wants to change the rate of our room from Military/Government Rate to a regular rated room. This hotel Karen commenced to interrogating my husband and i about why we were in the area, what were our plans and was it work related. My keys were not ready but boy was the hotel clerk was ready. My family and I went to this hotel for the weekend, reserved a room and did an early check-in.
